Cheerleading

Cheerleading is my all time favorite sport. I have cheered for 5 years now. My first year we got second at city and third at regionals. My second year cheering we got first at city, first at regionals, and sixth at nationals. My third year cheering we got first at city, first at regionals, and first at nationals. NATIONAL CHAMPS OF 07'! I did not get to go out and compete though because i had a fractured collar bone. My fourth year cheering we got first at city, first at regionals, and fourth at nationals. My fourth year though we were an advanced squad so it was very difficult for us to even place in the top five at nationals. This is my fifth year cheering and so far we have placed first in city. After this season, I am going to try out for high school, hopefully i make the JV squad.

On October 11, 2009, the Normandy Midget large intermidiate cheerleaders took first at city competition for the fourth year in a row. We went against Grandpark. We watched as they did their routine and after that they called us out onto the floor. The whole entire arena went crazy as we took the floor. The other Normandy cheerleaders were up in the stands saying our cheer with us. We hit all of our stunts and after we got out of pyrimid, it was time for our dance. My coach was so happy that she jumped our of her seat. We started our dance and everyone went crazy. Once we got off the floor, i couldnt breathe cause i was so out of breath from cheering. After we got off the floor, there was six teams after us till awards. So after the six teams got done with their routines, we went down on the floor and it was time for awards. They called a few divisions and then they called our division. All the girls crossed their fingers and held hands hoping they would call Grandpark for second. They called them for second and all of us girls jumped up because we knew we had taken first. They called the Normandy Cowboys for first and my coach, my assistant coach, and I went up to recieve our trophy and medals. After that, we all went outside and took pictures with our fourth city competition first place trophy.
